Privacy Policy for TheShedRegistry

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you voluntarily provide to us when you join our waitlist for contractor availability updates. This currently includes your email address and may also include your name, borough, consent status, consent timestamp, and request metadata.

2. How We Use Your Information

If you join our waitlist, we collect your email address (and optionally your name and borough) solely to notify you when contractor availability or quote matching becomes available in your area. We do not currently share your contact information with any third parties. If that changes in the future, we will update this policy before the change takes effect.

3. Public Business Data

The business information displayed in our public contractor directory and registry (contractor names, phone numbers, permit histories, union status) is compiled from publicly available government databases and public websites. This is considered public business information, not personal consumer data. To update your public business profile, contact adam@madaventuresllc.com.

4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use Google Analytics (GA4) to collect anonymized usage data including pages visited, referring URLs, device type, and browser information. GA4 uses cookies and similar technologies to collect this data. This information is not linked to your personal identity. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

5. Children's Privacy

TheShedRegistry is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

6. Data Retention

Waitlist email data is retained until you request removal. Contractor data sourced from public records is retained and updated periodically for as long as it remains publicly available. You may request deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us.

7. Security

We use commercially reasonable measures to protect your information, including encrypted data storage via Supabase (PostgreSQL with row-level security) and access controls that restrict waitlist data to authorized personnel only. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
